Basket and community photographs
Basket makers and their children with partly finished recycled Bolga baskets.
The village environment during the dry season and our beautiful basket maker. You can see why trees are so important: shade, shelter, food and to prevent erosion and desertification which is spreading south from Burkina Faso.
The same village during the wet season. You can see the difference and why trees are needed all year round. Here we are planting trees and the whole basket making family came to join in.
The fabulous baskets made by the basket makers in the photos above sitting on a sea of plastic waste. You can find the baskets at Trashy Bags in Accra. Go to http://www.trashybags.com.
